China Telecom Mobile Reading Subsidiary Breaks 100 Mln Users

China Telecom's (NYSE: CHA; 0728.HK) mobile reading subsidiary, E-Surfing Reading Culture Communication, recently disclosed that it now has over 100 mln users. China Telecom's mobile reading base officially established the subsidiary on November 22, 2012, beginning the process of moving towards an enterprise operations model.

"If we reach our two-year targets the company will move to IPO," said Xiao Wei, deputy GM of E-Surfing Reading. "If we fail to meet those targets, we'll undergo internal restructuring. We expect the company to achieve profitability by 2014."
