Sootoo, 12/23/12

Chinese online tea retailer Maimaicha.com will invest RMB 700 mln in a new logistics park, the company's CEO Ma Yufeng confirmed on his personal microblog yesterday.

Mei Shan, Maimaicha brand operations center GM and VP of Maimaicha parent Shandong Huaxia Chalian Chaye, told journalists that the 40,000 square meter park will be based in Jinan, Shandong and cost up to RMB 600-700 mln. Over the next two years, the park will serve as a customer service and warehousing hub, to be followed by the construction of large-scale distribution centers in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Chengdu, merging Maimaicha's online and offline retail logistics systems.
