Taobao to Introduce Interactive Commenting Feature

According to Hangzhou-based C2C & B2C e-commerce site Taobao, the company will launch an "interactive commenting" system on the site tomorrow. The new interactive commenting system will add two new features to the site: in the comment section below a product page, users can now comment on other users' posts, allowing them to interact with previous Taobao customers and inquire about product quality and price; and Taobao users can now save and share other users' comments onto their "My Taobao" pages, microblogging, Renren (NYSE: RENN), and Tencent (0700.HK) Qzone social networking pages.

The interactive commenting feature will first launch on Taobao's women's fashion and childcare channels, covering cosmetics, perfume, infant formula, food and nutrition supplements, children's clothing and other products.
