Rumor: Mobile Game Developer Soco Soft Lands Second-Round Funding

According to Chinese-language tech site Moobuu.com, Shanghai-based mobile game developer Soco Soft has completed a second-round of RMB eight-digit funding led by Shanghai International Group Venture Capital. The funding was completed at the end of 2012. Soco Soft received RMB 20 mln in first-round funding in 2009.

Since 2010, Soco Soft's mobile gaming content has been pre-installed on over 100 mln smartphones from various handset manufactures. In August 2012, the company released casual game "Flaming Vegetables" (Ranshao De Shucai). The game has accumulated more than 10 mln users and monthly income of more than RMB 1 mln.

Shanghai International Group Venture Capital has registered capital of RMB 1 bln and is a subsidiary of Shanghai International Group.
