Youku's 'Paike' Video Blogging App Adds New Features

ChinaByte, 2/18/13

Chinese online video site operator Youku Tudou's (NYSE: YOKU) Youku.com platform released version 2.5 of its "Paike" mobile video-blogging app recently, adding new features. Video now starts shooting automatically when the handset is rotated horizontally and stops when rotated vertically. Users can activate this function under the settings menu.

When a user wishes to stream a video through a mobile network operator, the new version of Paike will require the user to first manually click to begin streaming and will remind the user to be aware of data usage fees. The new version of the app has also optimized the user interface and other interactive features such as commenting.
