Thinker Times Launches Beta Version of 'LBS + SNS' Platform

Beijing-based Thinker Times Tech recently launched a beta version 3.0 of its "We City" mobile city services LBS and SNS platform. The new release adds support for push updates and replies, QR code scanning, and a partner business app store. The new version of the app also increases the visibility of UGC apps, and supports information sharing via SMS, microblog, and Tencent's (0700.HK) WeChat (Weixin) mobile messaging application.

The partner business app store mainly features applications from We City-partnered local businesses, but the company plans to expand the store to feature more enterprise apps from other sources in the future.

We City, developed by Thinker Times, is a combination LBS/SNS platform offering a mobile internet application platform for local municipal services including gas stations, restaurants, and government offices. The platform can be customized in partnership with local governments according to local development and operations needs. We City is one of the National Development and Reform Commission's (NDRC) "Next-Generation Mobile Internet Application Platform" projects, and receives funding support from the Ministry of Technology's innovation fund.
