Taobao Wireless 2012 UVs Exceed 300 Mln

The wireless division of Hangzhou-based C2C & B2C e-commerce site Taobao announced 2012 operating figures on March 12. Taobao Wireless (not including sister B2C site TMall) received more than 300 mln total UVs in 2012, with 57 mln of the users, or 19%, completing transactions over Taobao Wireless. Taobao Wireless's announcement did not contain transaction volume data for 2012, but did say that the service had YoY increases of over 600% per month in transactions.

The number of sellers who completed transactions using Taobao Wireless grew to 3.55 mln, up 86.6% from 2011. 18 sellers processed more than RMB 10 mln in wireless Alipay payments during 2012.
