Qihoo's 360 Youjiu Acquires App Developer eElephant

An industry source revealed today that 360 Youjiu, the online gaming subsidiary of Chinese internet services and security software provider Qihoo 360 (NYSE: QIHU), has acquired Shanghai-based developer eElephant. eElephant founder Rao Haosu confirmed the report via a microblog posting saying that 360 Youjiu CEO Liu Liang had become his new boss.

eElephant, established on January 12, 2012, develops mobile applications for entertainment, FMCG, and lifestyle applications. 360 Youjiu is a joint venture between Qihoo 360 and Shaanxi Youjiu Digital Technology; Qihoo 360 holds 80% of the company.
