360Buy Restructures R&D

Beijing-based B2C e-commerce platform 360Buy announced today that it will appoint SVP Li Daxue to head up 360Buy's R&D systems as part of overall R&D system reorganization efforts. Following restructuring and redefinition of functions, 360Buy's R&D system will continue to serve the same functions — serving all of 360Buy's service lines and providing company-level R&D — as the former top-level R&D division.
Following the restructuring, Li Daxue said, 360Buy's R&D systems will be grouped into ten departments under a business division structure, flattening out the R&D systems hierarchy. The company's mobile R&D, cloud platforms, and Big Data departments will be made independent departments as part of the restructuring.
Li joined 360Buy in May 2008, and has since served as VP and SVP of the company. His accomplishments have included overseeing 360Buy's enterprise informatization efforts, leading multiple website redesigns, and successfully implementing enterprise informatization and ERP.
360Buy currently employs nearly 3,000 technology R&D professionals at R&D centers in Beijing, Chengdu, Shenyang, Nanjing, and Suqian.
