Tencent Gaming Division Introduces "Pan-Entertainment " Strategy

National Business Daily, 4/19/13

Shenzhen-based internet and mobile services company Tencent's (0700.HK) online gaming-focused interactive entertainment business group announced today that it is gradually broadening its focus from online games to encompass games, animation, literature, film and television, and other related interactive entertainment media as part of its "pan-entertainment" strategy.

Through cross-industry partnerships, Tencent Games will "send out feelers" to a number of industries, including music, film and TV, literature, animation, publishing, and peripheral industries in order to develop an IPR-centric, cross-industry, multi-platform model building on Tencent's game operations and networks.
