Mobile App Security Provider Bangcle Wins Series B Funding

Chinese mobile app security service provider Bangcle announced yesterday that it has received an eight-digit USD sum in Series B funding from Redpoint Ventures and IDG, the latter of which was also an investor in the company's Series A funding. Bangcle will use the funds for technology R&D team expansion and market development.
Established in October 2010, Bangcle offers mobile app security services for developers to cut down on the risk of malicious use of their apps by preventing mobile apps from being cracked, pirated, repackaged, reverse-engineered, or modified to inject malware.
Bangcle offers app security services for more than 3,000 mobile apps and games, from over 700 developers, including Chinese home appliance and consumer electronics retailer Gome (0493.HK), Ledou Games, China Wireless Arts, and Ourpalm (300315.SZ).
