Qihoo 360 Launches Media Content Aggregator

Chinese internet services and security software provider Qihoo 360 (NYSE: QIHU) launched a media content aggregator today called "360 Media" (http://sh.qihoo.com/media/). Each media outlet hosted on the platform displays its main news headlines on its own page, and users can browse through each outlet's content by scrolling left or right through the pages.

"360 Media" is a sub-channel of Qihoo 360's news search channel. Currently, media content on the new platform is divided into three categories: national media outlets, portal sites, and local media. Content uploads automatically on each page and the pages will rearrange themselves according to user behavior. When a user clicks on a news item, they will be taken to that media outlet's website to continue reading the article.

Qihoo 360 states that there is no payment exchange between Qihoo 360 and media outlets to be hosted on the platform.
