Perfect World Invests in Over 10 Mobile Game Developers

Xu Yiran, Senior VP at Chinese online game developer and operator Perfect World (Nasdaq: PWRD), recently revealed that Perfect World has invested in Suzhou-based mobile game developer God Soul Network Technology, as well as in over ten other mobile game developers. Xu declined to reveal the monetary value of Perfect Word's investments.

Xu stated that God Soul was the first mobile gaming company in which Perfect World invested. When investing, according to Xu, Perfect World does not seek complete control of companies, and generally takes around a 20% stake. Perfect World has authorized the use of its intellectual property by God Soul, allowing God Soul to use Perfect World game material and characters in the company's future games.

God Soul was established in September 2010. The company's "PG Soul" game studio currently has released over 10 Android mobile gaming products, and boasts a use base of over 5 mln. God Soul's mobile action game series "Crazy Fist" has over 10 mln downloads.
