Sina Tech, 6/05/13

Gu Sibin, CMO of Chinese internet and mobile services firm Tencent's (0700.HK) consumer electronics B2C e-commerce site 51Buy, stated today that the new version of Tencent's WeChat (Weixin) mobile messaging application will support payment services through the company's third-party payment tool Tenpay, and that 51Buy will be the first e-commerce business to utilize the new feature. Future orders made through 51Buy will produce a QR code that WeChat users can scan to conduct a direct payment transaction through their Tenpay account.
