Netease Licenses Blizzard's "Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft"

US gaming giant Blizzard Entertainment has announced that Chinese internet company Netease (Nasdaq: NTES) has secured a 3-year mainland China operating license for Blizzard's cross-platform strategy card game Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft. Netease CEO William Ding did not appear with Blizzard's senior management at the press conference to announce the deal.

Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft is available in Windows, Mac, and iPad versions, and is currently in the process of applying for closed beta-testing in mainland China.
