Rumor: Loan Search Platform Rong360 Wins USD 30 Mln Funding

According to a knowledgeable source, Beijing Rong Shiji Information, operator of finance-focused search platform Rong360, has completed a second round of funding worth USD 30 mln. Rong360 will reportedly soon announce details of the new funding.

The Rong360 platform provides small loan search and recommendation features to individuals and micro enterprises. Loan providers on the platform include Chinese state-owned banks, private banks, foreign banks, small-loan companies and other financial institutions. Rong360 completed USD 8-digit first-round funding from Lightspeed Venture Partners, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers (KPCB), and Zero2IPO, among other investment firms, in March 2012. Rong360 founder David Ye has a background at PayPal and American Express.
