Rumor: Youku Tudou to Enter Internet TV Arena

According to industry reports, Chinese online video site operator Youku Tudou (NYSE: YOKU) has launched an Internet TV development project, and has allocated funds to set up an Internet TV and set-top box (STB) R&D team. The Internet TV/STB project team has been set up as an independent entity outside of Youku Tudou.
Youku Tudou CTO Leo Yao will reportedly lead the new project, which has been designated as a high priority by the company. Yao will report directly to Youku Tudou CEO Victor Koo.
