eLong Launches USD 100 Mln Mobile Travel Investment Fund

Chinese online travel service provider eLong (Nasdaq: LONG) announced today that it has established a USD 100 mln "Mobile Travel Innovation Investment Fund." The fund will be used to invest in mobile travel products and services both inside and outside of eLong. The fund's external investments will include angel funding for start-up companies, venture capital for companies that require first-round or post-first-round funding, and mergers and acquisitions of targeted companies.
