Rumor: China Mobile to Procure 50 Mln TD-LTE Terminals in 2014

According to an industry insider, China Mobile (NYSE: CHL; 0941.HK) will procure more than 50 mln 4G TD-LTE terminals in 2014, including approximately 40 mln smartphones and 10 mln data cards.

China Mobile procured approximately 207,000 TD-LTE terminals in H1 2013, including 5,000 smartphones. The company has previously disclosed that it plans to procure another 800,000 terminals in Q4 2013, with smartphones accounting for a higher percentage of total units.
