91 Desktop User Base Exceeds 100 Mln

Chinese internet company Baidu's (Nasdaq: BIDU) 91 Wireless subsidiary has announced that users of its Android handset launcher and management app 91 Desktop have exceeded 100 mln. According to company sources, Baidu VP Li Mingyuan and 91 Wireless CEO Hu Zemin will both attend a party in Fuzhou to celebrate the milestone.

91 Desktop began operation in 2011, and has since released 210 updates to its mobile management and optimization software for Android and iOS platforms. In addition to existing search, keyword, and navigation content, 91 Desktop plans to carry more Baidu services and content in the future, including Baidu Music, Baidu Video, and LBS services.

91 Wireless was acquired by Baidu in early October of this year.
