Microsoft to Take Over China Skype Operation from Tom

Chinese-language media conglomerate Tom Group (2383.HK) today posted a notice on its Skype download page (skype.tom.com), stating that the company will transfer operation of Skype in mainland China to Microsoft on November 24.

Tom obtained the operating rights for Skype in China in 2004. Tom-Skype currently has more than 100 mln users.
