Qihoo 360 Restructures Mobile/PC Security Business

Chinese internet services and security software provider Qihoo 360 (NYSE: QIHU) recently implemented a series of organizational and structural adjustments to the company's security software business, organizing its relatively mixed wireless security and PC security products into two major business groups: a wireless security business and a PC security business. Qihoo CEO Zhou Hongyi will personally manage the wireless security business, while Qihoo President Qi Xiangdong will be responsible for the PC security business.
The wireless security business has been sub-divided into a Mobile Guard division, mobile assistant division, mobile core security division, wireless security research institute, communication security product department, and a mobile desktop department.
Zhu Yipeng, the former product director of Qihoo's 360 Extreme Explorer browser, will serve as general manager of the Mobile Guard division. Xiang Ming, the former executive product director of 360 Safe Guard, will serve as the general manager of the mobile assistant division. Yao Tong, the former product director of the anti-virus function of 360 Safe Guard, will serve as general manager of the mobile core security division. Jiang Xuxian, chief scientist at Qihoo, will serve as the head of the wireless security research institute.
The PC security business has been sub-divided into a Safe Guard division, anti-virus division, and a one-on-one services division. Fan Jihuang will serve as general manager of the Safe Guard division. Lu Yi will serve as general manager of the anti-virus division. Company VP Zheng Liqun will continue to serve as general manager of the one-on-one services division.
Additionally, Shen Haiyin, Qihoo VP formerly responsible for 360 Mobile Safe, will be in charge of the intelligent hardware and cloud storage product division. During the past year, a business division led by Shen developed the "360 Suishen Wi-Fi" ("360 Wi-Fi On the Go") and "Kid Guard" ("Ertong Weishi") smart bracelet products. Chen Jie, company VP previously responsible for 360 Mobile Assistant-related businesses, has been placed in charge of human resources.
