MOC Bans Battlefield 4 in China

Caijing, 12/27/13

China's Ministry of Culture (MOC) has announced that US game developer Electronics Arts' first-person shooter Battlefield 4 has been banned in China because the game jeopardizes China's national security and encroaches on Chinese culture. A portion of Battlefield 4's campaign centers around a Chinese military coup.

According to the MOC announcement, all downloads, strategy guides, software patches and news related to Battlefield 4 must be taken down within 24 hours.

EA has not officially released the game in China.
