Guanxi Launches Local Events App 'Firefly'

Shanghai-based mobile SNS app developer Guanxi Information Technology has announced the release of the company's new "Firefly" local events recommendation mobile app.
Firefly is a personal event assistant app designed to keep users informed of local events and activities. The app intelligently learns about users to provide recommendations tailored to their tastes, location/time, behavior and social relationships. The app not only allows users to browse event listings, but also instantly alerts them in real-time of the most important nearby happenings. Firely also features an "Events Compass," allowing users to view a 3D map of nearby events when using handset cameras.

The company created the Firefly application to cater to these unmet needs, explains Wang-Graylin.
