Rumor: Baidu Acquires C2C Education Platform Chuanke

According to a source close to the matter, Chinese internet company Baidu (Nasdaq: BIDU) has purchased Chuanke Computing, operator of C2C online education platform Chuanke, making Chuanke a wholly owned subsidiary of Baidu. A specific price for the acquisition has not yet been revealed. The Chuanke team has reportedly already moved into Baidu's corporate headquarters in Beijing's Haidian District, and the company will soon be renamed "Baidu Chuanke."
