Rumor: Qihoo 360, Enlight Media to Launch Premium Video Site

According to an industry insider, Chinese internet company Qihoo 360 (NYSE: QIHU) and TV program production company Enlight Media (300251.SZ) have joined forces to establish a movie-focused premium video site. In addition to premium movie viewing services, the new site will also offer movie-related services such as cinema ticketing. The site will use a pay-per-view profit model with no on-site ads.

Enlight chairman Wang Changtian was asked about the rumor during a recent institutional investor interview, stating only that the company is working on an online video project with well-known websites that have high levels of traffic.
