Baic Motor VP Joins Baidu's Driverless Car Division

Chinese internet company Baidu (Nasdaq: BIDU) recently announced that Baic Motor Corporation (BMC) VP Wu Xuebin will join Baidu as VP responsible for the driverless car division and its team. Wu expressed the hope that with Baidu, he could promote the commercial development and popularity of driverless cars.

Wu has more than 20 years experience in the automobile industry, having worked in General Motors, Ford, and Porsche. While at Baic, Wu drove deeper adoption of Swedish auto maker Saab's technology, and worked to integrate R&D and improve the R&D system. He oversaw the integration of new energy technologies and made strides with new product development.
