Beijing-based Weikang Hengmei Information Technology, operator of online and mobile plastic surgery appointment booking platform Yuemei, has announced that it secured RMB 80 mln in Series C funding. The round was led by Hina Group, with participation from SAIF Partners.
Yuemei said that the funding will mainly be used to further expand on the platform's strengths, improve regional coverage of partner institutions, strengthen community content building, and enlarge its offline presence.
Yuemei has over 12 mln monthly visitors, approximately 3,000 partnering medical institutions, and 8,000 plastic surgeon registered doctors.
In addition to providing plastic surgery appointment-booking services, Yuemei's platform also allows users to consult with cosmetic surgeons and upload photos and text to discuss related topics.
Yuemei opened the doors of its first offline medical center, "Yuemei Haoyi," in Beijing's Haidian District in December 2016. The center was built to grade A tertiary hospital standards, but is classified as a clinic and certified to perform cosmetic procedures under general anesthesia.
