China Mobile: TD-LTE Handsets to Hit Market by 2012

On July 5, China Mobile (NYSE: CHL; 0941.HK) VP Li Zhengmao said that 4G mobile handsets would hit the market within the year, with more than 10 models to be available in H1 2013 and more than 100 4G products, including Apple handsets, in 2014.
Chinese telecom equipment and terminal manufacturers Huawei and ZTE (0763.HK; 000063.SZ) have already released LTE-compatible data cards. ZTE president Shi Lirong said that handsets would be released to market by the end of this year for TD-LTE commercial trials.
