Samsung, together with Radio and Television Shanghai (RTS) and its subsidiary Shanghai Media Group (SMG), signed a strategic cooperation agreement today to jointly build a "smart" online platform to deliver copyrighted audiovisual content and other internet value-added services to Samsung TV set owners.
Shanda Interactive's (Nasdaq: SNDA) online literature subsidiary, Cloudary, has formed content distribution partnerships with a number of companies including Chinese e-reader and handwriting input peripherals manufacturer Hanvon (002362.SZ), Shenzhen-based tablet manufacturer Inmid, Sina (Nasdaq: SINA) Weibo microblogs, document sharing site Docin.com, and Chinese mobile internet portal 3G.cn.
Kendall Law Group has filed a class action lawsuit on behalf of Yahoo shareholders alleging that Yahoo was informed no later than March 31, 2011 that Chinese e-commerce conglomerate Alibaba Group had shifted its third-party payment subsidiary Alipay to another company controlled by Alibaba chairman Jack Ma.
