Rumor: NQ Mobile Inflates User Statistics

FJE Research, an anonymous author on investment website Seeking Alpha, has posted an article on the site claiming that Chinese mobile security provider NQ Mobile (NYSE: NQ) has grossly inflated its reported total number of both registered accounts and monthly active mobile security users. According to the report, NQ Mobile's share of China's mobile security user market is around 5.4%, while the company claims its share is around 63%. FJE Research claims that NQ Mobile's number of monthly active users is less than 10 mln, as opposed to the 49.7 mln reported by NQ Mobile.
