China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has identified 42 pieces of malicious software in Q2 2017 available on 15 mobile app stores, with the Mgyapp app store (not to be confused with Tencent's (0700.HK) Myapp app store) found to have the greatest amount of malicious apps.

Chinese internet and mobile services firm Tencent (0700.HK) and China's National Earthquake Emergency Search and Rescue Center have reached a strategic cooperation in which the Search and Rescue Center will utilize Tencent's location services and big data to assist with decision-making in disaster prevention, mitigation, and relief.
