Google China Trials Music Search Advertising

Sina Tech, 3/04/09

A spokesperson for Google China has confirmed that the company is currently conducting testing on numerous advertising models to be used on its music search service (www.google.cn/music). Former Flash advertisements located at the bottom of Google's music download and listening pages have now been replaced by Google AdSense advertisements. A beta version of Google's music search service was released in August of last year in cooperation with legal music download service Top100.cn.

The spokesperson stated that advertising services for Google China's music search have not been fully launched, and that both current AdSense advertisements and previous Flash advertisements were part of testing.
