China Mobile to Commercially Deploy TD-HSUPA in September

A source working on TD-SCDMA has leaked that TD-HSUPA commercial systems equipment will finish network access permit tests by the end of July. The equipment will begin to be used commercially in August, with China Mobile expected to release handsets that support TD-HSUPA by the end of September. As part of the TD-SCDMA Phase-3 construction project, China Mobile will take the lead in conducting TD-HSUPA upgrades, and has already deployed it on 10% of TD-SCDMA Phase 3 base stations.
