NetDragon to Launch New Version of Mobile PIM

Netease Tech, 9/29/09

Fuzhou-based online game developer and operator NetDragon Websoft (0777.HK) will release a new version of its 91 Assistant mobile personal information management (PIM) tool around the time of China's October 1 National Holiday. The new edition will allow users to transfer personal data such as contacts and SMS messages between handsets with different operating systems, including Android, Windows Mobile and iPhone OS.

Earlier rumors suggested secret a partnership between Apple, NetDragon and China Unicom (NYSE: CHU; 0762.HK; 600050.SH), but all three have refused to comment. NetDragon was one of China's first online game developers and entered the wireless market in 2006. The company has released several iPhone apps including Mobile Assistant, Panda Reader and 91CallInfo.
