Baofeng to Establish Media Subsidiary

According to sources inside Chinese media player developer Baofeng, the company is preparing to launch a media company, "Baofeng Media." The company will primarily engage in media management and major brand advertising management. Baofeng Media will be a subsidiary entirely funded by Baofeng, though the possibility of a future merger has not been ruled out.
Editor's Note: Ji Ning, assistant vice president for audio and video at Baofeng, has confirmed that the company will announce the establishment of "Baofeng Media" on October 28. Specific functions and team composition will be announced by CEO Feng Xin at a news conference on that day.
