Google China Loses Executive, Continues Hiring

Sina Tech, 5/06/10

Liu Jun, deputy director for search R&D at Google China's Research Institute, has resigned, with plans to start his own company. Liu joined Google in February 2006, and oversaw portions of Google's web search and integrated content search during his tenure at the company.

This morning, the official Google China blog posted a recruitment notice saying that the company "continues to improve its products and recruit outstanding individuals." In the notice, Google China said that its R&D team has continued tech development and innovation over the past several months, with engineers working to maintain and improve Google's search, maps, translation, and advertising products, in addition to developing future products.

Editor's Note: Google China's job listings page advertises positions in R&D, sales, user interface design, business expansion, operations and IT, human resources, marketing, and products.
