Rumor: 9You Shuts Down Beijing Branch Due to MMO Flop

An industry source claims that poor performance by its self-developed 3D martial arts MMORPG Weapons of the Gods has led 9You to order the shut-down of its Beijing branch yesterday. After the branch is shut down, R&D staff will be left without jobs. Nearly 100 people will be affected - 50% of the product team for Weapons of the Gods. The source added that 9You still intends to develop a Weapons of the Gods expansion pack, or possibly Weapons of the Gods 2.
