Rumor: Huawei Device Reshuffles Management

Netease Tech, 2/23/12

Huawei Device, the terminals subsidiary of Chinese telecom equipment and terminal manufacturer Huawei, reportedly will transfer its China region president, Yang Xiaozhong, to its headquarters to oversee global sales due to his strong performance in the China president post, though his successor has yet to be named. Huawei Device is also in the process of transferring several senior executives in overseas posts to domestic positions, but has not yet sent out official notices.

In 2011, Huawei Device's global sales revenue rose 50% YoY to USD 6.7 bln and shipments rose 30% YoY to 150 mln units, including over 20 mln smartphones. Huawei Device's domestic sales contributed heavily to its overall performance.
