Guangxi Unicom, Guangxi UnionPay Partner on Mobile Payment

China Unicom'S (NYSE: CHU; 0762.HK; 600050.SH) Guangxi branch and Chinese banking network China UnionPay have announced they will expand cooperation on the development of financial payments and telecommunications services. On the same day, both companies released the "silver card" which links a China Unicom user's phone number directly to their bank account number. Cardholders can access their bank account through the Unicom network and use the card for payment transactions.
