Changyou Licenses Console Game from Softstar

Chinese online game developer and operator Changyou (Nasdaq: CYOU), a subsidiary of Sohu (Nasdaq: SOHU), today announced it has obtained the mainland China operating rights to Taiwanese online game developer Softstar Entertainment's console game Xuan Yuan Jian 6, and launched the official mainland China website and forums for the game.

Development of Xuan Yuan Jian 6 is expected to be complete by 2013. Mainland China and Taiwan operations will be synchronized.

Hunan Satellite TV is broadcasting a TV drama this summer adapted from a previous game in the series, Xuan Yuan Jian 3.
