BCD Semiconductor Q2 2012 Profit Down 59% YoY

Chinese analog semiconductor device manufacturer BCD Semiconductor (Nasdaq: BCDS) has announced its financial results for the second quarter of 2012. Q2 2012 revenue was USD 36.8 mln, an increase of 18.7% QoQ from the first quarter of fiscal year 2012 and a decrease of 4.2% YoY from the second quarter of fiscal year 2011.

Net income was USD 2.1 mln, up 619.2% QoQ from USD 292,000 for the first quarter of fiscal year 2012 and down 58.8% YoY from USD 5.1 mln for the second quarter of fiscal year 2011.

Revenue for the third quarter of fiscal year 2012 is expected to be in the range of USD 37 to USD 41 mln, representing a growth of approximately 0.5% to 11.4% QoQ compared to the second quarter of fiscal year 2012 and a decline of approximately 5.4% to a growth of 4.9% YoY compared to the third quarter of fiscal year 2011.
