China Unicom, Netease Partner on 3G WVAS

China Unicom, 10/31/12

China Unicom (NYSE: CHU; 0762.HK; 600050.SH) and internet and mobile value-added service provider Netease (Nasdaq: NTES) recently signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Beijing. The two companies will partner on mobile and internet VAS, according to Netease CEO William Ding, with particular focus on development of 3G mobile internet services, integrating Netease's information, education, and media-related mobile products and applications with China Unicom's terminal channels and user platforms to create new products.
