BCD Semiconductor Q3 2012 Profit Down 10% YoY

Chinese analog semiconductor device manufacturer BCD Semiconductor (Nasdaq: BCDS) has announced its financial results for the third quarter of 2012. Q3 2012 revenue was USD 38.0 mln, an increase of 3.3% QoQ from USD 36.8 mln for the second quarter of fiscal year 2012 and a decrease of 2.8% YoY from USD 39.1 mln for the third quarter of fiscal year 2011.

Net income for the quarter was USD 3.6 mln, an increase of 71.4% QoQ from USD 2.1 mln in Q2 2012 and down 10.0% YoY from USD 4.0 mln for the third quarter of fiscal year 2011.

Revenue for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2012 is expected to be in the range of USD 34 mln to USD 38 mln, representing at mid-point a decrease of approximately 5.3% YoY compared to the third quarter of fiscal year 2012.
