Sogou Releases iOS Mobile Browser

Chinese Internet firm Sohu's (Nasdaq: SOHU) online search subsidiary Sogou recently released an iOS version of the Sogou mobile browser in the Apple iTunes app store. "Sogou Mobile Browser for iPhone v1.0 incorporates PC-iPhone bookmark synchronization," said a manager for Sogou browser, "and we plan to develop additional PC-mobile device synchronization capabilities in the future."

The mobile browser boasts a new feature that displays titles, images, and content that excludes non-essential information (such as ads) from webpages, and automatically updates when connected to Wi-Fi, reducing mobile traffic usage. The feature currently provides optimized content from over 300 websites across 20 different categories.

Sogou will soon release mobile browsers for Android and Windows Phone devices.
