CNTV, LeTV Compromise on Copyright Disagreement

Wang Wenbin, GM of CCTV's national online TV station CNTV, and Zhang Yuxia, the future GM of CNTV subsidiary CNTV Future Television, visited online video site LeTV (Leshi) (300104.SZ) today to participate in high-level meetings related to the recent slew of copyright infringement lawsuits between the two companies. The two sides have reportedly reached an agreement over the matter. CNTV and LeTV executives also discussed areas in which the two companies could cooperate on video content and broadcasting platforms in 2013.

LeTV and CNTV announced their strategic partnership this January to provide CNTV internet TV users with access to the complete library of LeTV video content.
