800APP Appoints Pactera President as Independent Director

Chinese software developer and application service provider 800APP has announced that David Chen has been appointed as the company's independent director.

Chen is president of Chinese IT service provider and software outsourcing firm Pactera (Nasdaq: PACT) and was one of the founders and former vice chairman and president of VanceInfo Technologies.

800APP was established in 2004 to provide CRM-centered and PaaS (Platform as a Service) platform-centered automated management services to customers. It also provides enterprise-based cloud computing solutions.

800APP completed its first round of funding in 2008, receiving venture capital funding from U.S. based Sierra Ventures and Ivy Capital. Second round funding was completed in August of 2011. Both Sierra Ventures and Salesforce.com participated
