China Mobile Animation Base Revenue Reaches RMB 217 Mln

Zhang Yanpeng, GM of China Mobile's (NYSE: CHL; 0941.HK) animation base, recently disclosed that the operator's mobile animation business' 2012 revenue will exceed RMB 217 mln.

According to Zhang, the base currently has over 500 domestic and overseas content partners, licensing the rights to nearly 900 cartoon characters, nearly 40,000 cartoon episodes, 50,000 comics, over 6,000 mobile themes, and more than 16,000 MMS products, and has established relationships with 28 national animation bases.
