Baidu Provides Cloud Solutions for Samsung Handsets

CCID, 11/30/12

At a November 29 press conference in Beijing for Baidu Cloud terminal solutions, Chinese internet company Baidu (Nasdaq: BIDU) unveiled custom cloud solutions for handset makers, and announced that it has formed a platform-level partnership with Samsung.

The new partnership will focus on the Samsung Galaxy Note II, for which Baidu will offer comprehensive cloud-based storage, coordination, sharing, and customization services. Baidu will provide Samsung device users with large, expandable cloud storage accounts, and will provide intelligent management features for cloud-based personal video, music, image, and text files.

The announcement comes not long after a platform-level partnership between Baidu and Qualcomm.
