Tencent Mobile Manager, Wo Chacha Partner on Barcode Scan Security

Shenzhen-based Internet company Tencent (0700.HK) recently partnered with mobile scanning application developer Wo Chacha on QR code scanning features. After users scan a QR code using the newest version of Wo Chacha's client, the QR code content - whether a web link or a document - will be sent to Tencent Mobile Manager for cloud-based verification and security scanning.

Wo Chacha reportedly had more than 60 mln users as of October 2012. Tencent Mobile Manager has more than 100 mln users.
